Fixed and removable braces
Fixed braces consist of brackets and bands cemented to your teeth, holding flexible wires that exert gentle pressure to move your teeth into place over the course of treatment. Removable braces can be taken in and out of the mouth, using delicate wires and springs to move the teeth, and are generally used for less complex cases or alongside fixed braces as part of a combined treatment.
